Terms of use
These terms explain the rules for using GeoJag. By using the site, you agree to them. If you use GeoJag on behalf of a school or district, you agree for that organization.
Who can use GeoJag
- Anyone can play the free World map without an account.
- Teachers create classes by signing in with Google. Teachers are responsible for the classes they create and for sharing class codes only with their students.
- GeoJag is designed for classroom use. Students under 13 should use GeoJag through their school, which authorizes the limited data collection described in the privacy notice.
Accounts and codes
- Keep student codes and Google accounts private. Don't sign in as someone else.
- We may suspend accounts or classes that misuse GeoJag or break these terms.
Acceptable use
- Don't try to break, overload, or get around GeoJag's security, paywall, or database rules.
- Don't copy, resell, or republish GeoJag's content or code without written permission.
- Don't enter hurtful or inappropriate names or content.
Free trials and paid plans
- Each teacher may start one free 10-day trial. When it ends, classes return to the free World map and keep their progress.
- Paid plans (Teacher, School, District) run for one year from approval and don't renew automatically. We'll contact you before your plan ends.
- Prices are listed on the pricing page or in your quote. Schools may pay by invoice or purchase order.
- If GeoJag isn't working for you, contact us within 30 days of payment and we'll make it right, including a refund where appropriate.
Content and ownership
GeoJag's games, lessons, text, design, and code belong to GeoJag. Map data comes from Natural Earth (public domain), and flag images from Twemoji (CC BY 4.0). Teachers and schools may use GeoJag with their students and share printouts like the standards alignment within their school or district.
Student data
How we collect, use, and protect data is described in the privacy notice. Where a school or district has signed a data privacy agreement with GeoJag, that agreement controls.
Availability and changes
- We work to keep GeoJag running and accurate, but it is provided "as is," and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
- To the extent the law allows, GeoJag isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before a claim.
- We may update GeoJag and these terms. When terms change in an important way, we'll update the date above and let paying customers know.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
