For your school's Google Workspace admin

Allow students to sign in to GeoJag with Google

GeoJag is a world geography game your teachers use with their classes. Students can sign in with their school Google account so their progress follows them to any device. Google Workspace for Education blocks sign-in to outside apps for users marked under 18 until an admin approves the app. These steps take about five minutes.

What GeoJag asks Google for: the student's name, email address, and profile picture (Google's basic sign-in profile). It doesn't request access to Gmail, Drive, Classroom, Calendar, or any other Google data.

App (OAuth client) ID: Ask GeoJag for the client ID

Steps in the Google Admin console

  1. Sign in to admin.google.com with a super admin account.
  2. Go to Security → Access and data control → API controls.
  3. Under App access control, click Manage Third-Party App Access.
  4. Click Configure new app, search for the client ID above, and select GeoJag.
  5. Choose who it applies to: your whole organization, or just the organizational units for students and teachers who will use it.
  6. Set access to Trusted, then click Configure (or Finish).

Changes usually take effect within an hour, though Google says they can take up to 24 hours. After that, students choose Sign in with your school Google account in GeoJag, and then enter their teacher's class code once.
